Workhouse working with local colleges...

Workhouse working with local colleges and schools to give youth its chance.

Workhouse has a tradition of helping local colleges and schools by providing work experience placements for their students. Since December 2008 we have had 4 work experience people come in to see what work is like.

Over the coming weeks Workhouse will once again open its doors to a select few work experience students, giving them a chance to work in a fast paced thriving creative marketing company.

The students help out with a variety of tasks including basic design work using Apple Macs and software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, cutting out artwork and with the advent of the photography studio they can help out on photo shoots, providing assistance to in house photographer Andrew Woodhouse.  Due to the very nature of the business the students end up spending their time with us on a whole range of differing tasks making work experience with Workhouse a particularly rewarding experience. It's certainly a lot more varied than working in most offices!

George Charlesworth a student who worked with us before Christmas, said he "really enjoyed working with Workhouse, and it was a great insight into the working world"

 More to come.
