We've been working with Bowland Brewery recently and have just finished designing the label for their Artisan Gold beer. A photo of the beer is below.

Product photography at Workhouse Studios.

We were shooting products over the weekend in the studio, the image below is one of the shots from the session.

This was a 3 light set up making use of a 20 degree grid and plenty of diffusion material. The three lights were triggered with a radio remote and we were shooting tethered into Aperture 3. Final editing was completed in Photoshop CS5.

New location photos added to the gallery.

After another couple of busy, productive weeks we've updated our location photography section of the website with some recent images.

We shot the first set of images below on location during a day long shoot for one of our clients, Daniel Thwaites. It was a great day, we were really lucky with the weather (which helped as we were shooting both indoors and out) had some great people to shoot and got some cracking images at the end of it.

Another client of ours, the newly opened The Whalley Wine Shop. Tom Jones is the MD and has decided to open his own, independent shop after the Threshers he was previously managing closed down. The Whalley Wine Shop is concentrating on a range of quality wines at an affordable price, whilst delivering high levels of customer service.

We were delighted when Tom asked Workhouse Studios to take some photos of the newly refurbished store.

To see more of our location photography check out the location gallery on the site.

Workhouse Studios host Lead Event.
Monday, 26 April 2010 16:02

Workhouse Studios recently hosted a networking event for a client of ours - CXL. The event was put on by CXL, in conjunction with Live Ribble Valley magazine, primarily to promote the genuinely excellent leadership programme called LEAD to SMEs in the Ribble Valley.

As well as the usual event style images, Workhouse Studios offered the attendees a complimentary portrait shoot which proved to be surprisingly popular. The image below of Gary Collinson is one of the many portraits taken at the Lead Event.

Workhouse Photowalk
Friday, 23 April 2010 16:16

A couple of weeks ago Steven and I went on the first Workhouse Photowalk of 2010. We decided to do the first half of the Tolkein Trail one Friday morning before work.

Photowalks are a great and social way of getting out and about with your camera and as the examples below show, you don't have to travel miles to get some good shots.
