Image © Apple Inc 2010. Apple has today launched the successor to its popular pro image editing and management software Aperture 2. Aperture 3 includes 200 new features with highlights including the addition of non destructive, scaleable brushes and the support for video. Aperture has been a great success although it has come under increasing pressure in recent years from Adobe's Photoshop Lightroom. Aperture is a digital asset management and editing software which allows pros the ability to quickly import, edit and output their work - all non destructively. Aperture's support for video has the potential to be game changing, the convergence of stills and video capture looks set to continue, and if Apple can do for videographers what the did for photographers then they're onto a winner. Here at Workhouse Studios we've been using Aperture for a number of years and it really is a great bit of kit, that can be relied upon day after day to deliver the goods. I'm really looking forward to working with Aperture 3 in the future. To find out more information about Aperture 3 visit the Apple site. |
